Kaleidoscope Project: Volume 1: Archetypes is the first volume of the Kaleidoscope Project.

Original Liner Notes

Volume 1: Archetypes is a collection of the first six compositions created during the Summer of 2006, when the Kaleidoscope Project was first conceived. The Intersection composition was the only one to be completed before I lost interest in the concept. A year later, I included it in a collection titled Stillbirth, a compilation of unfulfilled projects. Unexpectedly, in January of last year, I was inspired by the sight of bare tree branches stretching across the winter sky, and I began creating new compositions. It's impossible for me to explain the excitement of once again fully believing in an idea, after years of feeling like I was, creatively speaking, merely going through the motions. Suddenly, everywhere I looked there was another subject, another idea, another inspiration to create. While the newer compositions are a bit more complex and interesting, I felt it was important to complete the five remaining original compositions, before moving on to the others, to gain some closure on that era.
