Personal Thoughts
The summers in the neighborhood that I lived in west Akron were irritating to me due to the noise that came from the park behind my house. Throughout the summer, people would rent the pavilion in the park and throw parties that lasted into the night. Usually, the month of September and the resuming of school marked the end of these events, but the year of 2014 brought a late event, a Halloween festival, to the park that ran from the early afternoon until well after dark. I decided that I would move my studio into my basement, the only place in my house that was safe from outside noise, and produce an entire album in a single day. This included conceiving, writing and recording all of the songs in a single day. My goal was to record eight original tracks, but three original tracks and a cover song proved to be as much as I could manage. It was exhausting, to put it lightly, but inspiring as well. It was the most fun I had recording music in a long time, and I was happy with the tracks that came out of the event. It took me two months to get around to mixing down the tracks and finishing the project. The plan was to make this a somewhat regular project type, especially once the summer returns.
