dextrometh* was my third music moniker and came from the primary drug used in cough syrup, dextromethorphan hybromide. It was first used for the Maximum Strength collection in 1999. The apostrophe in the moniker indicated a footnote on the cover of the collection that read:
Robbie Schneider "Orphan Hybromide"
