Personal Thoughts

Two-minute tracks are a personal phenomenon of creating music. The tracks are recorded on the fly, one track after another, without much thought put into it. Most follow a standard arrangement with two distinct parts and by some internal metronome they end-up with a duration around two-minutes long.

The first one I ever made was The Poltergeist and I distinctly remember recording it on the floor of my bedroom in my parents' house one night after being out with my friends drinking coffee at Denny's until 2 o'clock in the morning. When I was recording them on a 4-track, it was a quick process of recording the main theme, and then simply expounding upon it over the next three tracks, one after another. This became a standard process, though, they'd become a little more complex as more tracks were available. Because I recognized that this was a tendency of mine, I've wanted to put this collection together for a long time. The true effort behind this began in early August of 2014 when I started creating these tracks with a purpose.
