New page

Summer (Fallen) is a composition that was included in the second volume of the Kaleidoscope Project. The subject of the composition was part of a massive tree that was once in-between my house and my neighbor's house in west Akron, Ohio. A part of the tree, practically as big as a small tree itself, had snapped-off over night and just barely missed doing major damage to my house. When I woke-up and looked-out of my kitchen window in the early morning as the sun was just starting to brighten the sky, all I could see were leaves! The first thing I thought about was the old "Jack and the Beanstalk" story... how did this thing grow so big over night?!? Anyway, it was a good subject for the composition.
